6 TIPS AND TOOLS TO FUEL YOUR 20141. Make space for greatness by evaluating where you are now, how that is working for you, and where you would love to be next year. For added help, listen to the teleconference on my media page (www.kimlifecoach.com).
2. Create 3 BIG goals you will achieve; "No Matter What" for 2014, and add the steps needed to achieve them.
3. Make a list of the people in your life now. Analyze who you want to spend more and less time with. Additionally, figure out who you want to add in. For extra help, see my latest article in www.thescoopla.com
4. Make a list of all of your best qualities inside and out. Now, place stars next to the attributes and qualities you will embrace, emphasize and let shine even more. Add in new items where you will improve and grow. Maybe you will become a better writer, or begin wearing brighter colors more often.
5.Plan your retreats and travels for the year ahead. This will motivate and inspire you to look forward to adventures, and fuel you to manifest the $ to do so.
6. Decide who will be your coach or mentor. We all need one to think outside of our own brain power. Also, create a mastermind group or find an accountability partner to talk with often to soar toward success.

LORI HARDER; BUSY, BOLD, HEALTHY AND HAPPY BY Kim Somers Egelsee and Lori Harder
LORI HARDER; BUSY, BOLD,
HEALTHY AND HAPPY
BY Kim Somers Egelsee and
Lori Harder
Lori Harder is a true multi-talented inspiration. She is an
author, speaker, teacher, fitness expert, model and so much more, and is coming
to the OC in February for a fantastic event called The Bliss Project Feb 21-23 www.busygirlhealthylife.com/events,
which is thrilling for those who want to live a more fulfilling, satisfaction
filled happy life.
Living Fit OC would love
to know how you got into fitness?
I
knew from a very young age fitness would be a part of my life even though I was
an overweight kid and my entire family struggled with their weight and eating
habits. I remember watching gymnastics
and fitness pageants on TV and thinking that those women had it all. They looked so amazing and powerful to me and
I wanted to inspire people the way that they inspired me.
I
started my first diet along with doing at-home fitness videos before I was a
teenager. I used to ask my mom to buy me
fitness magazines and as soon as I could drive I got a gym membership. This was the beginning of a life long search
for health and happiness. I just knew
there had to be a better way than the body and habits I was living in.
It
wasn’t until my mid twenties that I decided changing people’s lives through
health and mindset was my calling. I
committed myself to doing fitness competitions, learning all I could about
nutrition and mindset and I opened my own gym along with starting an online
fitness business.
Tell us about your very
popular book and how to get it?
My
“Busy Girl Healthy Life Cookbook” is truly a labor of love. It is all of my favorite recipes and secrets
that I use to stay fit, get ready for photo shoots and appearances while still
enjoying my food and my social life!
These are our family’s favorite football apps, holiday foods and party
specials. I haven’t met someone who
doesn’t love the book yet. I don’t
believe in depriving yourself. That is
not a sustainable way to live. This book
proves you can still eat amazing food and look and feel incredible! You and the kids will get excited to choose
your meals from here.
You
can purchase at: www.busygirlhealthylife.com
There are some amazing testimonials on Amazon.com also.
You’re such an
inspiration; how do you stay looking so fabulous?
My
cookbook! Really, I do eat just like it
says in there and also use an all natural system called Isagenix that I swear
by to get some meal replacements and all of my vitamins. Life gets crazy so it’s nice to easy, clean
meals and I don’t have to cook or buy as many groceries. I also believe in consistency. It’s about making sure you have more good
days than bad. I wake up every day and
no matter how I feel I have a few non-negotiables which include, positive
self-talk, a brief morning meditation where I set my intentions for the day,
movement for 30-60 minutes, lots of water and a healthy food. I call this “earning my happy” for the day. I
know if I skip these I may not get to keep my energy and happiness long
term. I view it as something worth
fighting for every day. It’s how we get
and stay in control. It’s about taking
ownership over your entire life and it starts with these basic actions.
You inspire and empower
women...tell us what you love about helping others and about your upcoming
event in the OC?
The
event coming up in Feb is called “The Bliss Project” and it is truly the sum of
my entire life’s work, journey and lessons coming together. This retreat is all about YOU and your
goals. It’s for every woman that wants
more out of life and knows she has more to offer, it’s for every woman who
wants to create something amazing, improve herself, network, push past limits
and bust through the barriers we have put up.
It’s about seeing what is real, rather than telling ourselves stories
because of past occurrences in our lives.
As
much as I LOVE motivation and inspirational courses and talks, this is truly
going to take that to the next level where you will learn how to apply what you
learn immediately into your life. The
rubber is going to meet the road after this retreat and you can start to create
the shifts you need for change instantly.
You
can check out the speakers and details at:
https://busygirlhealthylife.com/events/
What has been your most
exciting moment?
I
feel that I have been very blessed ever since deciding to really go for it and
confront my fears, but my highlight includes winning national fitness titles,
landing covers of my favorite fitness magazines and right now thinking ahead
and picturing The Bliss Project is truly the most amazing realization. It is why I am on this earth. I am here to light people’s souls on fire and
I know that is what this retreat is going to do. I have to include marrying my amazing
husband, support and partner incase he reads this;) J/K!
What is your daily life
like?
I
love my day to day life and have worked hard to create a lifestyle that I love
waking up to. It all stems from those
non-negotiables. I wake up and dwell on
everything I am grateful for, eat a healthy breakfast and take my dog, Waffles
for a walk with my husband Chris and just really talk and get in the energy of
our intentions for the day. Next we go
to the gym or for a run and immediately start our business day with calls,
coaching calls, filming workouts and creating content. We are always talking with clients or
coaching people on growing their Isagenix business. Every day is different and I love that. The mornings and evenings usually stay the
same though. We end our night with
reading some sort of inspiring business or life book and say a prayer of
thanks. You can’t get more awesome in
your life without being present and grateful for what you have so this is
something we live by in all we do.
You also have a you tube
channel and social media following, do you find that this helps you gain new
fans?
I
think gaining new fans is a combination of all social media, but I definitely
use facebook the most. Whatever your
choice of social media, the key is giving your audience your best info. Whenever I put something out I want it to be
something that will improve your day and your quality of life. I want to offer something amazing to people
for free so that they see what you are about.
Having an attitude of abundance in business and in life is what will
grow your following. There is more than
enough for everyone and you have gifts that no one else does. Listen to that quiet voice every day and it
will guide you eventually into what you are here for, and then you can share
your best and watch people come! If you
just show up every day with your best, the opportunities will make themselves
known. This too is all just making the
choice of where you want to grow and being consistent. You can’t skip a day! I would love for you to like my page so you
can get all the free recipes, motivation and workouts too!

CREATE YOUR DREAM YEAR IN 2014! By Kim Somers Egelsee
There are just about 7 weeks until 2013 ends. Today is the best day to decide that you will shape and create with focus and clarity, so that the foundation is already established to have the best year ever in 2014. After that it can get even better. Make sure you create consciously .
Get curious about your life.... What can be changed, shifted, and made better in your life?
Where can you make space and then create your own opportunities and jump into them? Sometimes you need to grab onto an accountability partner, meet up a few times, and fuel one another to truly sculpt what you want by design. Be excited about your life and what you have decided to create and make happen.
Once you are clearer,be sure to execute enthusiastically and energetically
Follow these steps to begin creating your dream year.
1. Call or email the person that you intuitively feel will be your best accountability partner. This should be someone who matches you in drive, goals and determination. You can also call upon a coach or a mentor; someone who specializes in finding the greatness within you, teaching you, and helping you soar over any fears that come up. Ask to meet with this person to brainstorm your path, goals and ideas for the new year coming up.
2. Meet with this person at least twice to review, revise and plan the goals and steps toward your dream year. Be bold. Dream big. Dare to rise higher than in your past. Ask them for feedback and their insights, and help them with their life design too. Make plans to meet regularly in the new year to keep one another on track, and to push each other to the highest levels.
3. Now that you are excited and clear, choose one to two areas or goals at a time to work on. Make sure the goals are worded positively. Instead of "I need to stop eating cupcakes and drinking two sodas per day", the goals can say, "I will eat and love healthy, fit and pure by drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day, adding in a green shake, and choosing foods that make me feel my best.'
4. Work on each goal in both small and large steps. Pat yourself on the back for each step you accomplish. Write in your journal to record your progress. Take notice on the days you were bolder, braver or stronger. This trains your brain to have you exhibit these behaviors and attitudes more frequently.
5. Review your notes and journal regularly, and read books and listen to CDs to motivate you daily.
6. Celebrate each accomplished goal and success with something you love, such as a night out, a trip to an art museum, or a day at the beach.
7. Create consciously and live your dream year in 2014....why not begin today?

Kerri Zane; A Single Mom That Has it All By Kim Somers Egelsee
KERRI ZANE; A SINGLE MOM
THAT HAS IT ALL By Kim Somers Egelsee
One
of the most inspiring women I know is Emmy award winning producer, radio host,
fitness guru and author of "It Takes All 5;A Single Mom's Guide to Finding
the Real One". Kerri is a radiant and upbeat shining woman who is always
out to inspire and empower other women. She has walked the walk and talked the
talk of being a powerful single mom and successful businesswoman in many
fields. I decided to interview her to find out her secrets, and to help
other women to have them too.
How
do you stay empowered and confident as a single mom?
The truth is it’s not
always that easy to stay in the flow when you’re a single mom. Fortunately I
have my support system that keeps me in check. I also learned some critical
skills through my spiritual psychology training that has helped me create a
solid and positive path to confidence and strength. Without a partner there with you,Do you feel you get
support and help from others when you ask, being a single mom?
My “village” is amazing. I
have a wonderful mom who has always been my rock, a babysitter who has been
with me since my daughters were born – and that’s a looongg time and amazing
friends. Most of them are also single moms and the mother’s of my daughter’s
friends.
In what ways has being a single mom made you stronger?
I relish being a single
mom. It has empowered me to do things I never dreamed I would do on my own.
Everything from buying my own home to changing all the light bulbs in the entry
hallway light. It’s 10 feet off the ground! I also feel like I am a positive
role model for my daughters. I want them to be independent and financially
self-sufficient. I believe they will make better choices in relationship coming
from that place of strength.
Describe your business and purpose.
I have always been an
entrepreneur. I owned one of the few all female production companies in
Hollywood for 20 years. Last year I published a self help book for single moms,
“It Takes All 5: A Single Mom’s Guide to Finding the REAL One.” Now it is my
sole purpose to help other single moms as a resource and build a community.
How do you get out there and date, being a
single mom?
Dating can be an effort.
There are no two ways about it. But I tell women that “Dating is a journey not
a means to an end.” In other words enjoy the process. Don’t think of it as must
“to-do” in order to find another husband. Chill! Make dating part of life’s
great journey. Meet someone new, learn something from them, relish in the
attention and regale your friends with your bad date stories....my other
saying, “Even a bad date is a good story.”
How do you help other
women feel self love and inspiration to move forward ?
It is one of my most
important missions is to help women allow love into their lives, a REAL love.
But this kind of deep meaningful relationship with oneself and someone else
takes a bit of work and practice. That’s why I have decided to share the
practical how-to’s in a 5 week project called, The Single Mom Superstar
Webinar. There are loads of resources, once a week 40 minute calls, one on one
counseling and more. Here is a link for more information, http://kerrizane.com/single-mom-superstar/
I highly recommend that you all signup for
Kerri's power webinar. This is amazing info for women that are single or
married, moms or non moms, She teaches self love, confidence, success tools and
more.

SUMMER SOLSTICE POWER
SUMMER SOLSTICE POWER
By Kim Somers
Egelsee; Author
We just
entered the second half of 2013 with the powerful Summer Solstice. This
symbolizes a time of letting go of ego and disempowering baggage, and grabbing
onto your inner power for success, positive energy and greatness. Make the second half of the year your special
year of achievement. Find ways to stand out from the crowd. Ask five people
what your gifts are. They will often see more in you than you see in yourself.
Take these traits and accentuate them to radiate out uniqueness, talents and go
for the gold.
